Sharper image compression
Uploaded images are now compressed with higher quality, so they look sharper, especially smaller images where compression artifacts were more visible. A typical 700 KB image now compresses to around 200–350 KB (previously 100–175 KB), still well under half the size of the original JPEG or PNG.
